I've read on Yorkie Talk of many Yorkies who are not eager to eat in the morning. As long as your doggy appears to be okay, I would just go with whatever schedule works best for him.

There is a poll in the poll section that shows Yorkies have a wide variety of preferences when it comes to eating time and frequency of meals.

My boys are weird and want their dinner at 4 pm. Pretty early for dinner. That also means they want breakfast early, 5 - 6 am.
