| Welcome to YT,Congrats, now that is just the sweetest face ever. I hope you are the passenger so you can give her kisses and huggies for the 7 hour trip home. She is going to be one lil spoiled lil diva with a face like that.

| Unfortunately im going on my own but yes it is only about 3 1/2 hours home! Im bringing her car bed and her crate but im hoping she will tolerate sitting on the seat next to me in her car seat!! She is not quite 1 1/2# and 11 weeks old and I just ADORE those giant looking ears! |

YT Addict | So cute. I think the crate will be safer. Her first car ride could be stressful for her. Bring some nutrical just in case and find out when her last meal was so you can keep her on her schedule. So sweet, enjoy your baby!!! |

| I also agree that a crate would be better. This is a new, probably scary experience for her and she may feel safer and secure in the crate. Maybe stop halfway back home and let her out for a few minutes. When I got Lexi, it was a 1.5 hour drive. She barked for about 5-10 minutes in the crate and then slept most of the way home. |

| I already have her bag packed (haha) I have nurtical, a bottle of water, two small bowls and a little food, a blanket and some baby wipes...juust in case. I have her crate with a blanket and then the carseat thingie with a tiny harness to buckle her into the carseat (booster seat may be the right term) my husband says I have packed her diaper bag haha and I am also bringing the sling I have for her in case I need to stop she can go in with me. |

| I do have a question though...I know food is a big debate...the breeder has her on blue, so I have already bought a bag of small breed puppy and two cans of the wet puppy food. Our other dogs are on Iams and have been for years, Misha since she was 12 weeks and Chloe since we adopted her three years ago. Misha is 11 yrs and Chloe is 10 yrs....I know it sounds weird but I wanted them to all be on the same brand at least....I think that is my OCD though. I have read up on both and it seems like recently blue has had a lot of complaints of diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Does anyone have any experience with Iams small breed proactive health smart puppy ?? I know this 6# bag of blue will probably last her quite some time but thought I would ask. Thanks in advance!! Last edited by chickensmith; 08-03-2014 at 07:00 PM. Reason: add other pets ages |
