| New member Hi all just wanted to let you all know I'm a new member and first time yorkie owner. My puppy's name Mr Scruffles and he was born march 1,2014. I do have 2 questions for anyone reading this. Ever since I got my puppy he's always taken his karo syrup from me and his treats. Recently he backs away from me when I go to give him the syrup or the treat. My hands are clean any ideas why he's acting like this all of a sudden? Next thing is ive been taking him to the vet for all his shots and everything and they say he's a healthy puppy but the other day he threw up a little. I took him to the vet and they didn't find anything wrong with him. Today he was acting like he was going to throw but nothing came out any ideas of what's wrong? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | WELCOME to you and Mr. Scruffles! Maybe he's trying to tell you he doesn't need the Karo anymore and/or no longer likes the taste? As for the vomiting, it's hard to say - dogs can vomit for so many reasons...maybe he just had a little upset tummy. I'm really glad you took him in though!

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Mr. Scruffles is an adorable name. You will have to share photos. I agree with Wylie's Mom. Maybe he doesn't like the taste of the Karo or the treat anymore. What time of day did he throw up and almost throw up? What color was it? When my Teddy was a puppy, he sometimes threw up yellow bile with a little white foam. Usually in the morning. This is an indication that the stomach is empty and hunger is making them nauseous. I solved the problem by giving him a few kibble late at night before bedtime. Same thing can happen during the day if they go too long without food. Puppies tend to have really fast metabolisms. Other possible causes, that Max suffered: getting overheated on a full stomach, getting too riled up on a full stomach. There are many more potential reasons.
