| Helping with the ear standing Has anyone ever used a breath right strip in the inside of the ear to help get them to stand... I had this idea and wasn't sure if it was a good one. I taped her ears for 2-3 days and took them off and 2 days later they r down. I for sure want them up so I'm just wanting to help a little but not go crazy with taping. My baby is only 10 weeks old. I figured I couldnt hurt by helping along can I? |

| I used the strips and didn't glue them in. Just used the adhesive that's on the strips. I cut them to fit ears and made sure there were no sharp edges. I used alcohol with dropper to loosen the adhesive so it wouldn't hurt his ears when I took them off. I think I used the sensitive skin strips. |

| If they're not up on their own by about 6 months, they probably won't go up. But I'm betting that they will, especially if they're going up and down a little on their own already. |

YT 500 Club Member | I read the sooner you start taping the ears the better. But after about six months it's too late. I taped my pup ears for a few days, took them off and by the end of the day, they went down again. I'm at a loss..I really want them up. Help |

| It can sometimes take up to two weeks to get them to stand. Just be patient and keep taping. Also cottage cheese in their diet helps and shaving the top third of the ear inside and out to take the weight off them.

| I guess I was lucky. My Max's was standing when I got him at 9 wks. At the vet clinic where I worked they used gauge rolled up , put in ears and then vet wrap around ears then tape so none of the tape was on fur. You might try that. |

| Have you shaved the top third of her ears on the outside as well as inside? The weight removed will help a lot. Also she must be teething at 10 weeks which will affect her ears going up and down sporadically.

| I shaved like half cause it was easier to do that and not freak her out. I taped them again we will see in a few days |
