| Congratulations and welcome to YT. It is too late to dock his tail, but I'm sure he looks beautiful with it. It would be considered an amputation and be very painful for him. Tails are usually docked 3-5 days after birth before all the nerves are there. I prefer Dr. Jean Dodd's protocol for vaccinations. I don't give leptospirosis or corona shots to my Yorkie. They can cause allergic reactions, and I don't need to worry about exposure in my area. There is a lot of questions raised about the effectiveness of the Lepto vaccine. They get the same amount as big dogs. I wouldn't get the booster done with other vaccines. I wish you much love, health, and happiness with your little boy. Take Rocky to the vet for an initial physical exam. The vet will be able to tell you the best vaccination regimen. | |
