| Looking to Add to Our Family Hello Everyone! I am so excited about this post. Our Chico (Mr. C or aka Chico the little guy) is now 5 years old and we have decided to get another yorkie. I have not decided if I wanted a puppy or an adult. If anyone could give me suggestions pros and cons (for those who have more than one) is greatly appreciated. We live in Wisconsin and again-if anyone could suggest a breeder (if we get a pup) would be great. We take Chico on our vacations and if we can't he stays with family who have dogs. With us now going to have 2, we can have someone actually dog-sit our house if we can't take them with us. I am so excited for me and for Chico. |

| I got a puppy when my dog was about 4 and it took a long time before they became friends. It depends on your dog. Puppies have LOTS of energy and are often annoying to adult dogs, they will put up with them usually but I wouldn't expect friendship right off the bat. Honestly if I could do it again I would rescue a 1 or 2 year old. That way they are past the awful puppy stage, you can really see what their personality is like and they are more likely to be friends. What ever you do please consider adopting, even puppies get turned into shelter and rescue groups all the time. Good luck!
