| Gizmo has brown spots on his belly?? Hi Gizmo has brown spots on his belly. I thought it may have been flea dirt, since we have moved and this place had fleas. I haven't used flea treatment in awhile since he never got fleas, but when I noticed he had some i used some flea treatment on him. I then took him to the groomers and they said he still had fleas and we noticed his spots got worse. I am pretty sure its an allergy to fleas.. He has no fleas what so ever but is there anything I can do? They don't seem to bother him at all, he doesn't lick his belly or rub it or anything. Also its his birthday tomorrow so we are going to the beach, i hope its okay.. thanks |

| Ewwww. Looks like flea eggs or something almost. Wonder what it is? I would soak him in the tub to see if that won't come off and take him to the vet if it won't. Poor guy!

| It looks like a secondary bacterial infection caused first by an allergy. One of my Rainbow Bridge babies used to get that. Once she took Clavamox it would get better. I also used a medicated shampoo when they occur. I hope you and Gizmo have a happy birthday.

| I no, i have bathed him twice since getting him back from the groomers, and it hasn't changed at all. Unfortunately there is no affordable vets that i know about in my new area, as i am a student it doesnt leave a whole lot of extra money :/ |

| Clavamox is an antibiotic prescribed by the vet. I also got the shampoo from my vet. It is called Clorhexiderm. They don't make it any loner, but this is similar to it. Malapet Medicated Shampoo - Anti-fungal Pet Shampoo - 1800PetMeds

YT 2000 Club Member | dog Happy Birthday to Gizmo! Have fun at the beach! I would get him to a vet to check this out. Yorkies tend to get sick fast if we let things go too long. I want Gizmo to be healthy and strong and not be sick from this spot thing. Keeping him in prayer |

| First, happy birthday, Gizmo!!! You definitely need to see if this is fungal or bacterial. There are these antifungal lotions you can use if it's fungal. I recently had to get some for my Shelby-Dale. If it IS bacterial and an infection, you need to get some antibiotics asap..could spread either way so I would definitely get to the vet. Have fun at the beach! TIP-try utilizing that natural salt water on his belly tomorrow. It does an ailing body good
