| Does it bother you when people mistake your pup for the opposite gender? I was at the park with a few friends walking Draco up, and lots of people came to pet him while he were there. Most people would just assume he's a girl, but I only to correct the ones that asked, or asked his name. I never thought about it until my friend pointed it out to me. I've seen some post that people don't even like to put their boys in bows and just wondered if it was because you really dislike when people mistake them from girls. I'll probably need to pay attention more to what people call Draco, mostly because I think the phrase "Good boy" is his favorite thing to hear haha. He totally spazzes out when anyone calles him a good boy. Though I think I watched Legally Blonde 2 many times to not put him in bows and even pink. Pink is my favorite color even if I only ever wear is black or white haha.

| Everyone assumes Teddy is a girl. I don't mind, and Teddy doesn't either. My boys sometimes wear pink scrunchies.

| I don't mind. People usually think I have two girls... I take it as a compliment. Couver is beautiful and could pass as a girl

| It may irk me for a split second, but it's not usually too bad. :-P I keep Nilla in every color under the sun -- I think some people assume if she's in blue especially (sometimes green), that she's a boy. I have to keep her in a short haircut too (cotton coat), so I guess that may contribute to their confusion as well? I don't know. I'm sure I confuse their (other people's dogs) genders too, so I cannot say anything! If you want your little man to wear pink, I say go for it! When I worked in the dog boutique, there were a few that would come in and get some nice pink prints for their male dogs. Be a rebel if you want to! ^^

| People mistake my 95 male Golden Buddy for a girl all the time. FYI he is wearing 2 blue collars and being walked on a black and blue leash. If he doesn't care why should I? He will respond to come on "Ladies!" People have mistaken Roxy my 4 pound tomboy as a boy because she loves to retrieve & "girl dogs don't!?" She was wearing a pink collar and pink harness.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Draco is such an handsome boy for sure. He so darn cute that I can see why people would mistake him for a female. I wouldn't let it bother you. However I do have a solution to you: Visit Bella Dawns Doggy Designs and order some little boy inspired harness vest for him. No mistaking him when he's wearing a vest with red hot flames on it. js !! Sorry I couldn't resist

| My favorite case of mistaken gender -- I was walking Teddy alone and some men sitting having lunch said, "Aww, she's a pretty girl." Teddy barked at them and I translated, "I'm a boy! I'm a boy!" The men laughed heartily.

| I do get it more with Blazer, and I understand because he is such a pretty boy- though I think that he really looks like a boy and not at all female- but he's small and has nice hair and it covers his penisand he wears red, so I get it. What I DON'T understand is how people could ever think that my Getman Shorthair, Buddy, could be female. He has a very masculine face AND there is no hiding his penis! Plus he wears blaze orange all the time! UFF, some people... Lol! |

| Yes, people always mistake Abba Daddy for a girl. He is in full coat, and has amazing gold and silver tresses. He is small and has a very dainty face and unless you lift up hair, you can't see boy parts. I don't get upset over it.

| No, not at all. It's very hard to tell the sex of any dog with longer hair, especially cute, frou-frou looking dogs like Yorkies so often look so naturally people assume the dog is female. I'm often just as bad - I can rarely tell the sex of most dogs unless I can see underneath the dog! Doesn't bother me at all.

| I think it's a typical stereotype for some people to think that all yorkies are female. Sometimes, Max gets mistaken as a girl, especially since Max can also be a female name. Yes, it does bother me a little, but then I learn to explain that he's male. I guess it CAN be hard sometimes to know if a dog (or other animals) are male or female. |

| All my small dogs I've ever had were called girls. Unless you have a dog thats not altered and the goods hang out. IME they will always call your boy a girl. Doesn't bother me. |
