| Barking cure... I can't believe this. It absolutely works. Why didnt I know this years ago when I has six chihuahuas at one time??? I have to thank this site for a recommendation to use Pet Corrector as a training tool. I couldn't find it at my local pet supply store, but I did find Stop That!, which is also compressed air but with added pheromones. My home is blissful! I staged a knock at the door by my grandson, which would have elicited a frenzy of rapid, loud barking. I gave the command, "No, no bark!", and did a quick spray. Both dogs scooted away, but immediately came back quietly on reward voice w/o barking. Hours go by, I use the can once more. Again I stage another knock. Miss P opened up with one shirt bark, and all I did was make a hissing noise with my mouth and she immediately quieted down. In fact, the kids were playing loudly outside the door and both dogs were totally uninterested! It's like they needed that discipline to be able to relax and ignore the high energy that the children have. I'm very, very pleased. Anyone with a barking issue, you MUST try this!

| Yes, that's where I found it. In a purple box by Sentry. It's with the calming collars.

| I'm glad you found something that works for you. I'm going to look for this product. We have used the Pet Correcter with good results. When Max doesn't listen to the "quiet" command, we say "Do you want the 'horn'?" and we pick up the can. We don't have to actually use it because he stops barking.

| I'm going to have to try this. My Anna goes nuts every time she hears a knock or a door bell, even if it's on tv. Last night a game show was on and every time the bell rang she went crazy. Thanks for sharing! |

| I have not gone out and gotten it yet but since I was given the recommendation earlier this week it dawned on my last night that hey I have some compressed air(the kind to clean electronics). It does get his attention and makes him stop. Pet Corrector is cheaper than the electronics compressed air so I will be getting some this weekend. So anyway if you wonder if it's worth getting and have the electronics cleaner compressed air give that a try first. You don't spray it at them just spray it. I got Bentley's attention to stop barking from down the hall from the living room.

| I taught mine not to bark and that works fine, too.

| Update I don't even need the can now. If there is more than one or two barks all I have to do is make a quick "psst!!" Noise with my mouth and it immediately stops. Then I reward with lots of praise and a yummy food treat!

| That's great! I love it when we get our message across to them and the work hard to do what we want and do it. They act so proud and cute!

| I purchased a "spray" collar from Amazon. It sprays with a loud Psst when he barks. I've been using it periodically for about 3 days. I don't put it on him at night, only during the day for a short period of time periodically when cars or people draw his constant attention. Honestly, it's like I have a new dog. He does not bark. The spray startles him but doesn't harm him. |

| Any pointers much appreciated. I tell Bentley stop or no and he just looks at me like oh you gonna help? and keeps going. lol If I pick him up and remove him from the situation he does the silly bark/sneeze/grunt sound like he's barking under his breath because he's mad at me for taking me away from what he was barking at. At times he's like living with an 2 year old and other times like a grumpy old man. rofl
