"Yorkie terrier mix" love at first sight Can anyone tell me, at least give me ideas, what "Demo" may be mixed with. It doesn't matter at all to me, so I'm not worried about getting a test done. I don't have him yet, but looking at his picture (my avatar) all I can see is how I nee to cut his eyebrows. Lol. I do have 2 other pictures in an album on my page. My captions for his pictures say it all <3 Love at first sight!

He looks like a yorkie to me too. There are many many yorkies who fall outside the standard. Yet they still are feisty yorkie inside! You'll see all yorkie in him soon enough. He's very adorable. Best wishes, Tracey

That's what I was thinking when I'd google "teapot yorkie." I'm hoping to pick him up Saturday after I get off work! And I'm thinking I may take a trip to Petco on my break tomorrow, to get a leash and collar just in case. I forgot to ask what he comes with, just asked if he was neutered and had shots. Lol, at least I asked 2 important questions.

I thought I'd be able to pick him up Friday because I thought I worked 12-4, but turns out I work 12-815, so tomorrow is a no go. I was bummed when I saw my hours for tomorrow/today. Right after I get off work Saturday I'm going to steal him! Work uniform and all. Haha. | |

Great advice -- def. get a harness -- even for teapots! Yorkies are most prone to collapsed tracheas. I would shoot for Gooby, ChokeFree, or Buddy Belt. I saw a Petco harness that someone else had, and the thing looked like a Rubik's Cube to me! It had all these adjustment places and plastic pieces ...

Any-who, I didn't make it to the pet store today. Our restaurant was super busy by the time I got there, and I was only allowed a half hour break; hardly enough time to look at all the super amazing dog stuff they have. Now I'm curious, his owner now says that he is less then a year old, when I go to get his shots, can the vet give me a better estimate (looking at his teeth or something)? I'm hopefully going to get him tomorrow after I get off work...well, assuming I get an answer by the time I get off :/ I'm still not 100% sure what I want to name him, although Demo is kind of growing on me. I want something unique but not totally off the deep end. Idk, I'll come up with something. Last edited by Timbo2013; 06-07-2013 at 07:47 PM. Reason: Oops, saw my post was up there.
