| Yorkies looks like little teddy bears...Can you keep them like that? Hello, I'm new to this site and to yorkies. My friend just bought a yorkie and I borrow him once in awhile to take him out. Ever since, I've been looking up yorkies and reading up on them. I see all the pictures of them when they're puppies and they look like little teddy bears. But, I haven't seen this look when they're adults. Can you achieve this teddy bear look by keeping their hair short? |

| Hi Superyorkie! Yes, the answer is, you can! When you take the dog to the groomers, ask them for the "Puppy Cut"! and if the groomer is as experienced as you'd hoped (of course s/he will be!), they will know how to maintain your dog's do!!

| My Yorkie looks just like a teddy bear and she's 4 years old-- we keep her hair kind of short, so maybe that is the trick! |

| Welcome!!! I love the Puppy Cut, too! I plan on keeping my Frankie's hair short, too. I think the long coats are beautiful, but I like Frankie with the scruffy look. It suits his personality. |

| I couldn't agree more!!! Puppy Cut is the cutest way to go. They look much cleaner! Cinnamon gets a full shave every 2 months. Her hairstylist bills are more than mine!!!

| They are easier to keep brushed and keep their coat looking good. I always keep my yorkies hair short. |

| I'm sure it has been said many, many, times, but I think that is one reason I love yorkies soooo much is because they look like little teddy bears. I've never heard anyone else describe them that way, though. I hoped by keeping mine in a puppy cut hopefully it would continue to resemble that way as it grows, of course, I'm sure it has a little to do with genetics. I've seen pictures of some as I have searched the net that there is no way they could no matter how they were groomed. Of course, I have also questioned if they are pure yorkies! Anyway, I think they are all beautiful no matter what!

| Puppy cut We keep Jackson in a puppy cut. He has that teddy bear look, but it is also because he has the "baby doll" face. The shorter muzzle gives them a "bear" appearance. |

| Looks like monkey! Typically 1 month after Cinnamon's haircut...it grows out to such a point that she resembles a little fluffy minature monkey! I do keep her face hair pretty short... Has anyone else ever got this comment?
