| Coconut oil Where do you get yours from? I saw coconut oil in baking section. Not sure if it is the right one to give to the dog. |

| I saw this recommended on the forum recently so this is where I'll try next. The last one I got was at GNC online. Coconut Oil - Certified Organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions

| I'm not sure what type of coconut oil they'd have in the baking section but I'd make sure to get one labeled as cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil. We use CocoTherapy but a lot of people use Nutiva which is cheaper for a larger amount. |

| I give her a 1/4 teaspoon twice a day with her meals. I also brush her teeth with it everyday.

Coconutoil.com - Research on Coconut Oil's Health Benefits I give it to Mandie because her skin and hair tend to be dry. I love brushing her teeth with it because she won't let me come near her with toothpaste/gel, but thinks she's getting a treat when I use the coconut oil...makes it sooo much easier

| Wonder if it is ok to feed both coconut oil and apple cider vinegar. Currently I am putting one drop of acv in jasmin's water bowl every other day. Thinking about adding less than a teaspoon of coconut oil to her food once a day. Hope this is not too much. |

| You can also check the supplement section at walmart. I've bought some there before. It's in a white plastic jar green and yellow label. I don't remember the brand, but I know I see it everywhere lol. I was actually using it to make sugar free chocolate at the time (not for the dogs but for my mom) and it had a better flavor than the one I have now that I got at the health food store :P |

| There's not a whole lot of difference. I use the grocery store type in a pinch. If your dog's coat starts looking and feeling oily, reduce the amount you're feeding. I feed my 6-7 lb dog 1/2 tsp twice a day. More than that and he gets oily. My 16 lber gets 1.5 tsp twice a day.

| I get Aunt Patty's cold pessed raw (organic gmo free) coconut oil at a local herbal store (Moonrise Herbs). I use it topically as a yeast prevenrative on my mini schnauzer's ears and have been using a half dime amount to clean my yorkie's bad breath. We also use it as a diaper ointment on our skin kid who is allergic to everything. It's like $15 pint jar or something and last a month with all these daily uses. It does melt at times and "shrink" 15-30minutes in the refrigerator and its "puffed" again. http://auntpattys.glorybee.com/conte...ry-ingredients I would ONLY use a raw cold pressed as when its not in that form its properties change.
