| Jackson is a good little hunter. He cracks me up when he's in the 'zone'. This morning, it was early, I did not want to be up. He woke me up barking at the door. Dragged myself out of bed and let him outside and watched him from the door. He froze on the porch, I was like wtf? Why isn't he going in the yard? Then he does his little 'pointer' pose (I LOVE when he does that) ... one paw up in the air. Then he VERY slowly inches forward. At this point, I know he's stalking something. Keeps inching forward slow... slow... slow... then he take a GIANT leap off the stairs (there's only 3 stairs from the deck) and takes OFF at full speed after this bunny. The bunny got away, thank god, but poor little thing was probably terrified. But it amused me and made me smile this morning. He's SO very serious about his hunting duties.

| Oh my...it sounds like Jackson and my Maddie Jo would make quite a little hunting team! If Maddie Jo hears something she totally focuses on that and nothing else until she finds the source. She has spent the evening in the kitchen (to the point of our frustration! ) listening to the fridge make it's little pop/cracking noises as the water refills the ice dispenser! She also focused on one particular corner in the kitchen as she heard a sound that none of us could hear. After checking everything imaginable on the inside I had my husband go outside with the flashlight and look...nothing brushing against the house, cable wires are secure...oh wait...that little thin wire lock they put on the box outside the house was barely moving It's now secure and Maddie Jo 'hunts' in other places...she still hasn't figured out the fridge noises though so that should keep her occupied for a long, long time! lol! |

| Haha! Sapphire used to 'point' at squirrels on our walks. The first time she did it I thought I would die laughing. She was about 5 lbs wet and the squirrels around here are bigger than she is. Too funny.

| Sounds like he has been watching some of those hunting programs on TV! Maybe he doesn't realize those dogs go after the animals AFTER they are dead! It's much easier that way. |

| that sounds sooo cute, Sonic found a *monster* few weeks back I had to see what he was after it was a lizard lol, I put the lizard in a pot plant outside I tend to save them from cats and now sonic!.. not sure if anyone else's yorkie's or other pets does this, but when I bring sonic in from outside he stands at the door on the inside he squats down ready like he is ready to hunt he will attack the other dogs that come in the house in a playful way i wish he would stop it lol.. |

| Jackson is awesome in most things he does, I love watching his tricks. It cracks me up when Sophie Kate "hunts", her favorite victims are lawn ornaments (she usually catches them and comes out the victor). It is times like that when she reminds me is a dog.

| Huey did the evil "I've got it cornered" bark a couple of months ago and I opened the door and he ran in with a baby bird in his mouth. I had to trade him a treat to get it and it was cheeping...broke my heart. I put it back in the yard, but think the neighbors cat got it. He is cute when he hunts, but I don't like it when he actually catches his prey.... |

| Lol, he's actually quite big (16lbs) but there was once that we met a huuugeee pet bunny that was like 22lbs or something and Jackson was scared of it! LOL.
