| Yorkie has only one ear up! I never taped my yorkie's ears but I did shave them twice or three times, he's 8 and a half months old and only one ear stays up. Can I still tape his ear, what can I do about it? |

| Shave the ear then tape it. There was someone on here with a dog 2 yrs old that ears didnt stand and she did this and it stood. You may have to go through the taping process a few times

| Have you tried massaging it? When I got my pup, both ears were down. She had a lot of hair on them, but when I massaged them, they were up the next day. |

| When my pup was about 8 months old one of his hears started to flop over. A friend of mine said she had the same thing happen with her dog and her vet told her it sometimes happens when they're teething. He was definitely teething at the time. Just a thought..... |

| I say leave it alone. My Jamie is 3 and has one ear up and one ear down. It is the cutest thing and makes her so unique. Just love it!! |

| If you want, you can tape it... You still have a chance at 8 months. Or, you could leave it... One ear up is cute too!

| Ginger has one ear up and one ear down, and always has. Maggie's ears stand up as long as the hair on the top half of the ears doesn't get too long, but if the hair gets long they flop down. I would try having the top 1/3 to 1/2 of the ears trimmed real short or shaved and see if that helps. If not you could try taping them and/or massaging them as mentioned earlier. Sometimes the ears just don't stand up and there's not much you can do about it though.

| I don't have any suggestions. But one ear up and one down on a dog is so cute. |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | well my Biewer from the gecko had 1 ear up constantly and the other one down..i personally love their ears up so recently i used some wig glue and glued the inside of the 2 ears together on along the edge...same way German Shepard ears are done. The wig glue comes off with bath or will separate on it's on...don't use too much just enough to hold the 2 ears together...it came apart after 2 weeks and for the last 3 days its been up..he is turning 1 in 7 days...i tried taping and it would stay up for a day or so after...so i found this method and i like it better since he wasn't always trying to scratch the tape off...it doesn't bother him. I am praying that this time around it both stays up. Oh and of course shave the ears completely would be much easier to help stand and to get the glue off.
