| All Hail Cinders! The Bug Hunter! Cinders has found out that she can kill bugs last night. She's defeated a spider, a few ants and chased a beetle. She tosses the ants with her nose. They fly about a foot into the air. She watches them fly, then pounces on them when they land, and eats them. She loves the flavor of ants.

| Its funny to watch them chase bugs. Callie will tell us there is a bug (just by her actions) and maybe hit it with her nose or throw it once and occasionally kill it but never eats them. We always tell her how good she is. The male beagle mix I grew up with is normally kinda scared of everything but if there is a bug and he kills it he will walk around with his head held high and chest all puffed out until someone tells him how good he is its so funny. If she ever starts chasing crickets I would not let her eat them because I heard they can carry tape worm.

| That's good to know! I won't let her eat anything but ants since people eat chocolate covered ants. I figured they were ok for her to eat.

| Whatever you do, don't let her have the chocolate covered ants...while they are delicious the chocolate is bad for them!!!

| Jaeger is our designated bug killer. All I have to do is say "bug" and he's on the lookout for one-he's quite good at catching them, too!. |

| Mia is my bugger, mainly. She seems to openly 'hunt' for them. I've watched her 'pounce' across the yard after a grasshopper, hopping 'just like him' and just this past weekend, it was a Praying Mantis she was 'tracking' and pushing along with her nose as he was wobbling through the grass, trying to be as inconspicuous as a "Walking Stick" can be. I took her away, and moved him to a new location, and she tracked him down again...then DH wanted to play with the Mantis, so it was over for poor Mia. She goes after moths and butterflies, too...like a cat would...batting at them in the air, but I have never seen her attempt to eat any of them...she just sort of 'plays' with them in a kind of like 'follow the leader' way.

| What a silly girl! Be careful with the ants though... Couver found an ant nest one time and they crawled up his face and bit him. I had to sit and pick all the ants off of his face I could tell they hurt. As long as it's just one ant... I'm sure she'll be fine, but don't let her get the nest

| Gizmo is a critter chaser, regardless of the size. An ant, a mosquito, a spider, a beetle....Even frogs and toads don't stand a chance (granted if I see he's after a frog or toad that's when I step in). But I know if I see his head moving up and down with a crazed look in his eye and randomly biting at the air that there must be some "threatening" object that's coming into his domain!

| I get the biggest laugh when Gracie decides to go after the butterflys! She goes sailing up in the air like she thinks she can fly away with them. She looks a little confounded when they go sailing away and she ends up on the ground again! |

| How cute! Our major bonding moment with Milo &Scoobers was when a trespassing moth flew out the table lamp shade into Milo's nose and Scoobers chased it for almost an hour until a victory kill. Milo had his bug hunter net &the Scoobers walked and hopped on 2 legs chasing it. Now if we say Scoobers get it he's auto looking for moths or flies.

| So far, she hasn't seen the ant nest by the patio...I have and try to keep her away. I my garden toad, so she isn't allowed to find him. I watch to see exactly what she's hunting. I know some bugs can bite her...the spider she killed was a daddy long legs. I don't think those bite, but others might, so I want to keep her away from those. It's great to see yorkies like to hunt bugs. If you ask me, the world needs less bugs! (and snakes)

Thor's Human Donating Member | Ha ha! I love these. I would LOVE IT if Thor killed spiders or anything else, but if I ever aim him at a spider, he's all "what, mommy, what?? I'm looking right at you! You have my full attention!" He did try to bite a mosquito flying around him a few weeks ago... that seems only fair.
