| Lost Yorkie snatched by hawk!!!!! NOT MY YORKIE LOST yorkie.. Snatched by Hawk in La Mirada Park (La Mirada) Date: 2012-06-24, 11:41PM PDT Reply to: tcvch-3099373631@comm.craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] I can't believe it.. My 6 yr old 5lbs yorkie was suddenly snatched away by a hawk in la Mirada park. It flew away with her.. I know it's a long shot, but me and my family are utterly heartbroken.. We can only hope that she managed to wiggle out and fall to the ground - perhaps picked up by someone and taken to a vet or pound. If you have seen her, please please please email me. She is most likely injured from the talons and/or fall.. Pictures to come. Any help is appreciated.. David |

| So sad. Elvis my yorkie is my smallest dog here at 12.2 pounds...doesn' t matter we don' really but rearely see a red tail here, I pegged a crow with the overaized dog tennis ball last week as it cawed at Elvis from our gutter in our back yard. Just the beak on a bird can do some serious damage. So tragic, pet runs and leashes always. I'd be so neurotic with even a smallee yorkie at the top of the standard.

| I think it is OP's dog and he is just posting what he posted on craigslist here. I hope I am wrong though . Our laddy came within inches of being snatched by a hawk when we first got him. It is terrifying.

| That is just horrible for that person and their poor baby For those that are posting, the OP clearly states at the top of the post THIS IS NOT MY YORKIE

| I am terrified of this happening to us...We live in an area where there are lots of hawks, black birds, etc...we live in a wooded area...well my Scarlett got out of the house the other day and ran to the woods. Dh was chasing her, and boy, she was fast, she was following another dog...but thank God dh ran up and caught her! Last night, we made a gate so she can't get off of the deck... What a horrible experience for this person. I hope the dog got loose.
