| I'm so sorry to read this. We have 3 hawks around our house and I have to be right beside my little ones when they are out. |

| Maybe it's La Mirada, CA? I was @ my aunt's in Fullerton which is right by La Mirada. I had posted couple weeks ago that we saw a hawk on our walk...it had a pigeon pinned to the ground. Hawks are everywhere right now, according to wikipedia, they breed in the months of March & April, so they have a family...it's dangerous out there. p.s. THEY ARE OPPORTUNISTIC HUNTERS, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR BABY EVEN IF YOU ARE RIGHT THERE!

| I don't like to imagine what the little dogs go through when they are snatched by hawks, I hope he did get away, there is a hawk that lives across the street he flies around here and an owl also the mockingbirds are always chasing the hawks, owls or other big birds, squirrels for days here so to me that is a relief that hawks go for them or field mice.. I can count on the mockingbirds chasing hawks, owls etc |

| Wow I somehow thought that the NOT MY YORKIE was intended tp convey the OP's disbelief that this had really happened. Thanks for clearing that up. I am glad that its not the OP's yorkie but still so sad to hear this. I can't even think about it for too long as I start to think about what the poor baby girl has been through and it brings me to tears.

| It is soooo sad that poor yorkie got taken by a hawk. Hopefuly she got away, But I doubt it she was probally taken to the nest for her babies. How sad her owner's must be. Please stay out with your babies and keep them leased. That might help some. |

| It makes me cringe when I see someone with a small dog on one of those leads that lets them run way out ahead of the owner. I guess they are totally oblivious to the dangers around them. |
