| Welcome to the YT forums! You can choose to either tape them or see and wait. If you want them to stand I think taping them sooner would be better. It doesn't hurt them. But I love ears that flop. My Ahis ears stood when I got her but if they didn't I don't think I would have done anything to them.

| Welcome to YorkieTalk!! I would suggest trimming the hair on Gunner's ears and then if they don't start to stand, you can tape them. As for house training, consistency is key! He will need to go outside often and praise him when he potties where you want (whether it's outside or on a potty pad). Remember, he's a baby and will take a while to understand where you want him to potty... Be patient!

| Great name! Yeah I would wait a bit and the ears should stand on their own. Training = patience. Routines work the best, so patience and routines will help get the job done. |

| Welcome! I'm new to this forum too and I already love it. Giving him treats is a very good idea, I use that for my yorkie who is almost 10 months and he hasn't gone on the floor for a while now. To get my little Henri's ears to stand up I just kept trimming them, works pretty well, although they will flop every now and then when the hair gets long. Just make sure to start trimming right away. I hope this helps! Again, welcome and please post pictures of little Gunner!

| My vet told me to gently massage the ears when I held her and give a little cottage cheese(calcium) I did to Violet and Hardy and both of their ears stand up now! |
