| You know its the holidays in my neighborhood... When our male yorkie is on the defensive protecting his sister and I from all those terrible monsters on people's yards. He hates the animatronic types or anything that moves the most, like those reindeer with a joint at the neck that lift their head & then graze all nite long, or the inflatable snow men that move around in the wind. His barking attacks start at Halloween and go all the way to New Years... |

| That's funny! I must say I love taking my Yorkies for walks at night when all the Christmas lights are up! Makes it so much more fun!

| LOL! We have those reindeer in our yard. The first day they were put up, it was still daylight, so it just looked like brown outline of deer, but the head was moving. Oh my, Jackson started growling really low under his breath and I couldn't figure out what he could be growling at 'til I looked out and saw the deer! LOL - took him out to get a closer look and he jumped back so far when the head moved. He did not know WHAT those things were in his yard.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Tee hee! I can imagine! You know, we haven't taken Katie Scarlett out to see decorations. I need to do that and see what she thinks.

| There is a particular penguin in our neighbors yard that I think Gizmo believes is up to no good! He tries to take him out on each walkie.

| Too funny! I love the killer penguins. You can't be too careful with these menacing lawn ornaments. |

If it's any consolation, I am sleeping on the couch because Teddy is terrified of our neighbors' Christmas lights. I tried blocking the windows in my bedroom, but he won't be satisfied until he can see that those lights are gone.

I have to admit, that although Gatsby is full of bluster and ready to attack most of the lawn ornaments, there are some that cause him to run away rather than attack; he will leave the sidewalk and get as much distance as possible between himself and those hose big rotating inflatable cylindrical things. They kind of freak me out too. I much prefer the lights. | |

I did as you suggested and took him up close to decorations at a couple of houses that look like Disneyland. Teddy didn't like all of the animated stuff and he couldn't figure out how I was making the music come out of my mouth. I was singing along with the carols and he kept sniffing my mouth.

| Quite a few 'over here' don't move (blame it on the recession!! ) apart from the inflatables - but I know what you mean!! Harry's hating a particular orange-lit reindeer of our neighbour's - I'm sure if he doesn't 'kill' it, he's going to pee on it!! He actually looked quite relieved when it had blown over the other day (I think it had blown over....) Sally + Harry x |
