| Prayers for Austin, Texas Fire Victims I would like to ask if a few prayers could be said. The Rescue Group that I adopted my Willow and Allie from has a Foster Mommy (Pam) that had to evacuate yesterday evening with about 400 other people in her area- Steiner Ranch which is the West part of Austin. They have not been able to go back their house as all roads are closed with fires still going. They have no idea if their house is safe or not. She is at her Mom's house safe and all the dog's are safe as well.

I'm sorry to hear that about Pam and others having to evacuate because of the fire. Pam and everyone else affected by these fires are in my prayers. There are hundreds that have lost their homes and the news reported lives were even lost. This heat-wave and drought for the past 3 months has been just horrible. Thank God we are finally getting relief this week The morning temps will dip to around 59 here and will heat up to around 85/90 degrees. I'm wondering if the temp will start rising again after this week. I pray not.

| Not all are safe. There was one instance of a young woman and her 18-month-old daughter that were killed. I'm sure there are many animals that have been lost, including dogs. I don't know how it could be any other way in a fast-moving wildfire.

There have been people who had leave fast and weren't able to get their pet's and they won't let them back in.

| I hope all of our Texas members are safe and not in harm's way. I saw the reports this am on the news and wondered if everyone was ok. We will be praying our Texas neighbors are safe, and the firefighters are able to get these terrible fires under control.

| I saw an older lady sitting outside a shelter with a little chi on her lap. She looked so upset and I felt so very sorry for her.
