| Crystals in urine Hi all. Thought i would post this here. Jenna is back home on two antibiotics. She has crystals in her urine. She doesnt have much energy to walk too much but loves to eat. She keeps drinking water and then squatting to pee. Most of the time a dribble might come out even if that. But when she does want to pee it all comes out. Will this stop. Its so sad to see her goin back and forth to the water and then the squatting again. Anyone else there have similar experiences |

| As long as you give her the required meds and follow up with high quality food, and routine urinalysis, this will pass and she will have a healthy and happy bladder. Don't give her the care she needs, and it will only get worse.

| I'm not an expert but I think it depends on the type of crystals in her urine that may determine if your little one might need to be on a special diet. I remember Hot Rod had crystals at one time and fortunately it was such that his diet was not affected. Your vet should be able to let you know the next course of action once he gets the results back. Good luck.

| What kind of crystals? How long have you been using antibiotics? Was a culture done? If it doesn't pass soon the vet will probably give another type of antibiotic. If that doesn't work you may be looking at ultrasound to check for stones that can't be seen on xray and some other yucky things that can live in the bladder.
