| Advice for a visiting yorkie Good Morning! I have a yorkie whom I adore but who is slightly shy and introverted. We socialize her regularly with other dogs, she just seems to prefer people over other dogs. I am doggy-sitting another yorkie for a week. He is super extroverted, social, and fun. I want them to have a good time, but does anyone have any advice on how to introduce him to the situation? They will be in separate crates during the day when we are at work, so my main concern is at night. My yorkie sleeps in our bed every night and our visiting yorkie is also used to sleeping in a bed. I am a little concerned over how my yorkie is going to handle all this, but if I do it right, I really think it will be good for her to get out of her shell a little. |

| Have you had the two together before? If so, how do they act around each other?

| They have played together before, but Elphie (my yorkie) just kind of looks at him while he plays. |

| You will probably get lots of advice soon. My one suggestion is letting Elphie come around on her own terms. If she wants to stay distant I would let her. For the sleeping situation, any chance of you and your spouse / significant other sleeping in separate rooms? It is just me but this is Elphie's home and she needs to know that she comes first in my opinion. Not saying that you would neglect your visiting little boy at all... just perhaps tag team to ensure both their needs are met/covered. Oh, and I hope one or both are fixed! Best of luck!
