YT Addict | help: belly blisters, black pores?! So yesterday I noticed a blister form on Tikka's lower ab's above the vulva [that's the right name for it I hope lol] it's been there for awhile, I thought is was a scar, but it's not. and also noticed that in the crease of her vulva the pores are black, some of it can be wiped off, others almost look like splinters/blackheads. **Graphic Pictures just so you know...** I have googled and YT'd I read that urine can burn their skin if they don't clean themselves well enough, but idk what that looks like... so there is a picture of her little blisters the bigger one and a small one closer to the vulva. I read that the black stuff could be yeast? Also a picture of that... What I read said as far as blisters from urine burn that they just need help cleaning, so to wipe them with a soft damp cloth after pottying and that will help keep her more clean. I'll be keeping an eye on this over the next 6 days while the husband's gone, and if it gets worse/spreads I'll be taking her into the vet when he gets back. She's just as playful, hungry, happy as ever no signs of distress or pain, no yelping and struggling when I touch the blister.

| Oh poor darlin'! That looks painful. Does she potty outside and perhaps it is an allergy to the grass? We had a Bichon who was allergic to the grass and got blisters on her tummy when the grass was long enough to reach her. |

| My Lily gets it but I can't figure out why. We spray it with a blue spray that's available at the pet store and it goes away. |

YT Addict | @bluebelle... no i don't think it's an allergy, because she has never had it before... but I wont rule that out if she gets any more! @horsnaround... no, i don't think it's a pimple because it's not hard, it's watery like a blister and the skin is saggy not tight... if that makes sense? and as far as leash burn she uses a harness on walks and her leash would leave a bigger mark... maybe the yard line got under her leg? i'll have to watch and see... she never runs on her yard line, so I can't see it being from that because she just moseys around on that. @LDMomma... do you know the name of the blue spray? we only have one pet store here that's pretty limited, but if I can find it online, might be worth a shot! and is that spray for the blister or black/clogged looking pores? it hasn't gotten bigger as of yesterday or today, and neither is the smaller one. and the black stuff is pretty consistant, doesn't get worse, but doesn't go away. I started wiping her after potty times today... lol she wasn't sure about that.

| My yorkie gets that all the time, drives me crazy! I took her to the vet specifically for that and he said that its basically just dirt clogged pores (I think the blister you are seeing might just be irriated skin or maybe her skin is itchy and she has been biting as my girls both get that too). The vet gave me some medicated shampoo and it helped but she still gets that alot.

YT Addict | @dizzy... only thing i can think of that bites and leaves blisters are fire ants lol no fire ants this far North! it is a mystery though, she seems totally oblivious to it. @shanatink... she doesn't bite or itch at it [the blister] so I'm thinking it's some kind of burn blister whether it's from the yard line or maybe a urine burn. been trying to find out more about the urine burns...see if it's a real thing lol.

| I am sorry to offer this suggestion but could it possibly be canine herpes? Canine Herpes Virus - Pictures - Wellsphere

YT Addict | Update: almost everything has cleared up as the week's gone on! she still has the bigger blister, but the two smaller red ones went away, and the black stuff has gone away too I think that wiping her like a baby after she's gone potty really helped, she just wasn't cleaning herself properly just needs a little extra help! the bigger blister hasn't gotten bigger or smaller, so still watching that. the black pores/residue... I think that may have very well been yeast. as far as canine herpes, i don't think so, those are small clusters, this is just one normal blister. :/

| I am so glad she is feeling better. I was hoping it was not herpes but I had read about a breeder whose pups all had it how sad. I try to wash Buster's stomach at least once a day as my vet told me boys dogs can get irritated there as well. I have learned so much since getting Buster. I hope everything clears up for Tikka soon. Best wishes.

| Coco has these blisters too My baby has these too. I noticed it about four days ago as we were installing a wood floor. At first I thought it might be stress, but there was thinset dust where we pulled up tile and, the grass is pretty long. I'm going to try the wipe thing to see if that works. She doesn't itch them, so it is a definite mystery. |
