| Introduction Hi everyone, My name is Mary and I'm the proud caretaker of a 1 year old yorkie mix. Eddie is the second dog that I've ever had. My first dog Max was a miniature schnauzer and he died on St. Patrick's day 2010. I didn't want another dog after Max died. He was all I thought about. He was so much a part of my life that I felt I wasn't whole without him. When I first got Max all those years ago I didn't realize that he would change my life and me at the same time. My husband bought my yorkie mix from an acquaintance at work. As soon as he brought him in the door I told him "that is not a purebred yorkie". He looks like he might be mixed with Jack Russell. He weighs 15 lbs and he has one ear that stands up straight and another ear that flops over. He is adorable. He walks well on a leash and can sit, come, stay, wait, roll over, etc. The only problem I have with him is his aggression toward strangers. He bit my brother-in-law in the calf and my cousin in the calf. What I do now is whenever someone new comes over I put him in his crate and wait for him to get used to the new person. After a half hour or so he's fine. Anyone else have issues with aggression? Thanks, Mary |

| Welcome to YT. There are a lot of yorkie mixes here. It sounds like you have done a wonderful job in training yours, except for the biting. You might want to go look at the training section and see if you can find any threads there that might help you with the calf-biter. If not, please feel free to post a question there and someone will hopefully give you some good suggestions.

| Welcome aboard Mary. There is nothing to worry about if your dog bits your Brother in law. Can I borrow your pup for a few day? |

Hi. Glad to hear you have another little one to love! He sounds like a cute little guy! I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you about the nipping, except I would agree w him in that some family members can be very aggravating! | |
