| First grooming today... I'm a little bit nervous about it..lol Taking Charlie for his first grooming done today. (i think) haha.. I'm just worried he is going to put up a fight about it. Do groomers know how to handle these situations..... and will he hate me afterwards if he totally hates it?? |

| I guess the only way to get him use to it, is to just start getting them done and not worry about it... We'll see how it goes. |

| Oh good luck! I was so scared to bring Max the first time. He walked in there barking his head off and I just imagined it would be disastrous. When I picked him up the groomer said he was a little angel. I do think that a decent groomer has plenty of experience and can probably handle any dog (especially Charlie!).

| Just make sure you check the inside thoroughly making sure it's clean, etc. I'm not sure even what questions you can ask but I'm certain others will chime in. Does he fight you when you brush him?

| He wiggles a lot and wants to get away. Like I said though, the only way he's going to get use to it, is just start doing it. |

| Don't worry unless your dog is mean the groomers know how to handle them. I was worried about Zach the first time but he came back as happy as ever. Now on Saturday we are bringing Oliver our 5 month old Shih Tzu in for his first cut. I love our groomer and when you find one you like the dog is happy and so will you be. |

| I'm not bring my yorkie to be groomed, but I do bring my shih tzu Oliver (funny that lexi43 and I both have Oliver shih tzus) to be groomed. I was a nervous wreck the first time he went because he HATES to have his back legs touched and I was afraid they'd shave him too short.... Anyways, he did great and looked beautiful. The groomer listened to my concerns and he was wonderful with my baby. I'm sure that Charlie will do great

| I was sooo nervous the first time I dropped Jackson off. But she did a really good job and only trimmed him for me so it wasn't a total shock seeing him or anything. She said he was definitely very wiggly his first time and to practice at home with him, so I did a little bit. I now have a mobile groomer and he's seen her about 4 times, I think? She says he's always really good for her, just doesn't like his nails being done and squirms a lot...

| I was perfectly paranoid the first time I got Teddie groomed (this past Sunday). I chose a mobile groomer so he wouldn't be at some of these boutiques that allow the dogs to have "play time" together or caged him. He put up a bit of a fight, but he calmed down reasonably well. Didn't like his ears touched much, and hated his muzzle groomed, and of course he attacks blowdryers (workin' on it), but the groomer did an excellent job on him. He did act a wee bit different that day, kinda clingy to me a little more than usual, but he was fine otherwise. The groomer told me he would get better with each grooming and to just continue working with him here at the house. I'm sure your sweetie will be perfect! The groomer I worked with has done this for 15 years and specializes in yorkies/schnauzer/shi-tzus so I was comfortable with her. She had a ton of patience and I so appreciated that for Teddie.

| Ok... I dropped him off.. A little worried, but he should be fine. The groomer seemed to know what he was doing. The place was big and clean. He also said he wont groom too much because he doesn't want to over do it and scare him since it is his first time.... Here is some before pictures.. As you can see.. he is seriously in need of this grooming appt. lol |
