I was perfectly paranoid the first time I got Teddie groomed (this past Sunday). I chose a mobile groomer so he wouldn't be at some of these boutiques that allow the dogs to have "play time" together or caged him. He put up a bit of a fight, but he calmed down reasonably well. Didn't like his ears touched much, and hated his muzzle groomed, and of course he attacks blowdryers (workin' on it), but the groomer did an excellent job on him. He did act a wee bit different that day, kinda clingy to me a little more than usual, but he was fine otherwise. The groomer told me he would get better with each grooming and to just continue working with him here at the house. I'm sure your sweetie will be perfect! The groomer I worked with has done this for 15 years and specializes in yorkies/schnauzer/shi-tzus so I was comfortable with her. She had a ton of patience and I so appreciated that for Teddie.
