| I'm back with some exciting news... I missed you guys. Why did I stop posting here? I don't know... but what I do know is that the minute I found out I was going to be a puppy mommy again, I had to come and announce it here. If anyone I used to know is still hanging around here, you'll remember my Tetley, my love of my life. He's still doing great! Just as lovable as ever. He's 4 years old now. This week, the breeder I got my love from was faced with a situation where she was boarding a dog for the winter while the owner went away on holidays, and unbelievably the owner decided not to come back for the dog. So a beautiful loving 5 year old female was abandoned and needed a new forever home. Enter ME to the rescue! How could I say no to that lovable face with no family? She's a sister from another litter to my little guy. I go get her next week - it's a train ride and a 6 hr car ride to get her to me, but I have to, I want to. I just hope my Tetley can find it in his heart to share his mommy with a new sister. I am so excited, but worried at the same time. I don't want to upset Tetley. Does anyone have any advice on how to make this introduction go as smoothly as possible? |

I have always been told to take the resident dog out of the house. Then bring the new dog in. Let new dog sniff and explore for about half an hour the bring the resident dog back in.

| Welcome back and congratulations on your new edition. Everything sounds so exciting. For me, even the opportunity to take a train ride would be a HUGE thing, but to take a train ride and come home with a new furkid, that is awesome! |

| That sounds like a good idea. I've also heard to introduce them on neutral territory so when I arrive with her I'll have my neighbour hold the new girl at the park across the street and bring Tetley over to meet her. I really want this to go well! |

| Oh, lucky, lucky you! I hope Tetley and your new girl get along fine and soon become bosom buddies.

| It's so good to see you back and I want to say you have a big heart. That is so wonderful of you to get that poor little abandoned girl. How could someone do that? Tetley probably won't be too excited to share his mom, but I really do hope things work out. I know mine is jealous.

| That's so exciting! I added a new one to my family this year. Sophia is still adjusting, but it has gone really well so far. I know they will be good friends in no time! Can't wait to see pics!
