Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Welcome to YT. There are some very cruel people in this world, I will never know how anyone could treat any animal like that never mind a puppy. But you have her now and she is safe, thank you for saving her and giving her another chance at happiness. It sounds like you are taking good care of her and she has everything she could ever dream of I would give her a few more days to get settled in your home and then introduce potty training. How old is she? and do you know if she has had all of her injections? Untill you find out I would train her on pee pads, good luck!

People can do the worst, most horrendous things. And it really makes me angry when someone does something this horrible to a defenseless little dog. God Bless you for taking her into your home & your heart. You could just lay some wee wee pads down for her, and she might use them, on her own. You're very kind not to worry so much about pottying until she feels secure with you. It sounds like you are doing a great job. Just continue to cuddle her and shower her with love. And in time, she will relax and you will have made the best friend ever! Welcome to YT. Sheila | |

| Congratulations and bless you for saving this little girl! Would love to see pics. How old is she? Size? Name? Not too curious, am I? My advice is to just keep loving her...poor little thing has been through too much. Also, go slow...house training takes a long time and tons of love and patience. Read up on this website...there is so much wonderful info here.

| Welcome and bless you for being there for this little one who had such a rough start in life. As cruel as some can be, I also like to look at the other side -- there are a couple of really good people in this little one's life already -- you and your sister, the vet! I don't know how some can be so mean to defenseless little animals. There are no excuses for them. But we can only concentrate on trying to do right by them ourselves. Animals so often deserve better than they get. That is how I justify spoiling mine -- bringing some measure of balance. I don't feel like I should be giving advice on house-training as I am not making monumental strides with my little one. Just as we had made some headway, we had this cold spell and she does not want to do anything when we go out now. She just whines to go back in. Poor little baby. I put a sweater on her too!

| Welcome to YT. She's adorable. Bless your heart for saving her. Have you named her yet or did I miss that? She could have bad knees, which may or may not need surgery. Your sister could tell you. Maybe luxating patella? It's such a shame that she was so abused. I just can't imagine it! She'll always think you are her angel. She'll come to totally trust you someday, too.

| Geez...it really breaks my heart to think of that sweet little baby being mistreated. She is truly adorable and so pretty. Before long, she will know she is love...and probably for the 1st time in her life. That is just so sad. Bless you for saving this little one! Oh WELCOME. I'll be watching for more picture too.

| Welcome and hope all works out well. You are a good soul to take this on and your will be so happy you did. My little one is on 7 months so we are still working on potty training. I use the pads as it gets really cold here, but she will go outside too as we have two other dogs that she follows around. Best of luck and you're so lucky to be able to take her to work! |
