| Why? Everyone has heard about "designer dogs" right? i was cruising the internet (i wont list the site...... because i dont think it is allowed) and i see a MORKIE for like 1300 and thats not all, the breeder stated that if the morkie was all white then it would be 2500..... okay, that is more than a MALTESE! (and maltese are all white with almost the same look as the yorkie..) so they sell matese for the average 1300 and a pure white morkie for 2500 because it is "extremely rare" ....... what in the world? |

| Sounds stupid to me. I wonder why people are doing that. then they try to defend and say they're not trying to get rich at the expense of dogs.

| Never seizes to amaze me what people will do for a buck. Sad thing is there are plenty of people out there with money who wouldn't thing twice about buying one. I am not againsst mix-breed only when breeding for porfit. I have a 16 year old Chow-mix, Lucky that I love as much as my yorkies.

| Yep,I agree it's terrible. The hottest dog in my area right now are called yorkiepoos, morkies, and yortese for $1250 I thought mixed dogs are free or almost close to nothing. |

| I think the saddest part is that people are actually buying them. This just encourages them to breed more. If I want a mix I'll go to the pound. |

| I don't get this designer dog business. When my grandmother raised poodles, she had mistake one time involving a poodle and a daushund (sp?). The result was GIVE AWAY puppies, not OVER PRICED puppies. Maybe I'm just settling into middle age too much, but it just seems too weird for belief! |

| I don't get this concept either. When I was growing up and someone's precious purebred "fifi" got "knocked-up" by another breed, this was not a happy situation. The pups were GIVEN away if allowed to go to term AT ALL. I do not begrudge pound puppies at all, other than a Norwegian Elkhound and Collie that I had as a child, all of my dogs before Gracie and Boodah were SPCA mix-breeds. I just don't think that this is appropriate, ethical behavior to facilitate, encourage, or accept. People are very foolish to indulge this behavior.......STOP PAYING FOR THIS AND THEY WILL STOP ---------------------------------- |

| There are so many people out there who will let the word RARE get them. They will pay any price to have something RARE, These are the same people who need to get a life. They have no idea what they are buying, just to know they will be the only one in town who has one, is enough for them. Sad. Not only do they not have a clue, but the breeder gets big bucks because of it.
