| They do sleep a lot when they are puppies, Are you home with him all day? He might be playing when your not there. If you are, I'd take him to the Vet, for a check up, because I know they don't sleep all day. Please keep us posted.

| Hey GreekBoy, Yes, I agree with the other replies...puppies need lots of rest and sleep. They should nap very frequently throughout the day. I got my Yorkie at 2 months old and the breeder actually told me to put him down to nap every few hours. They become more awake and less tired as each month goes by. Also, just incase this might help you...my breeder told me to split up his amount of food into 3 meals a day until he is 6 months, which is when you just split his amount of food into 2 meals a day. At around one year old, I started feeding him once a day, at dinner time. I give him a carrot stick or piece of apple (he love carrots and apples) or dog treats in the morning for breakfast after he does some tricks. Some people feed their adult dogs twice a day, but my dog started eating only his dinner meal and leaving his breakfast meal, so I changed his feeding to just once a day. Enjoy your pup! |

| Yes, puppies his age do sleep alot, but you should still take him to the vet because about 3 months ago I had a pomeranian puppy who died 4 days after I got him from Parvo virus. And the main sign he showed for having Parvo virus was sleeping ALOT. He was very lathargic and then he started vomiting and having watery stool a few days later.I don't want to scare you, but at your pups age,it is very easy to catch parvo, and it is very deadly in young small pups. I would review his shot sheet with your vet and get him a check-up just in case, he's probally just sweepy but just in case. Hope it works out, and enjoy your new baby!

| The average puppy will sleep twenty hours a day. so what your puppy is doing is perfectly normal. don't worry too much. it does stop. Let me tell you it does change. I wish tigger was still like that, all he wants to do now is play play play. he's four months old by the way. don't worry. |

| It is normal for a pup to sleep a lot, but it isn't so normal for a pup not to play. At that age, you should be able to play with and entertain your pup for an hour straight, then he should be ready for a nap. He should be playing. They actually start playing before they can even walk. I would be a little concerened myself. Next time he gets up, let him go potty, then insist he play a little. He should be steady on his feet and not wobbly. If he is unsteady or too lathargec, definetly take him to the vet. Has he been checked for worms by the vet via stool sample? See if his gums are more of a white or more of a healthy pink. White is not good. |

| When they are babies they sleep almost nonstop. I think it was about twelve weeks before I noticed mine staying up more.
