| I think Armani is TOO attached to me!!! And i don't really mind but my DH isn't too happy about it & says that I need to fix it or else Armani is just gonna get worse I just got him Friday Feb. 12th and he is stuck to me at the hip...or ankle Armani will not allow anyone else to hold him besides me! When the hubby holds him Armani will just start shaking and crying because he wants to go back to me. I don't know what to do! I JUST got him so of course I wanna love on him but it's starting to become an issue & I can only see it getting worse! I don't want Armani freaking out & crying the whole time i'm gone because it's not healthy for him or for me. I just feel so bad for the lil guy that i constantly pick him up because I don't know what his life was like before I got him. I know i have treated him like a total baby and i'm to blame but I don't know how to fix it! I never knew a dog could get SO attached SO fast! If anyone has any suggestions please, please let me know! I literally can't even shower without him crying to come in the shower with me! I love my Armani, but I can totally see this getting out of hand & FAST! |

YT 500 Club Member | I have to start by saying omg thats the cutiest name ever! Ive had my girl for two weeks today she is 11 weeks old and she was TOTALLY attached to my hip the whole first week i had to put a bell on her cause i almost stepped on her every time i turned around she would cry if i shut her out so i could go potty i just finally had to shut her in my bedroom and leave the house so her crying wouldnt get to me because god its heart breaking to hear your baby crying for you but after doing this twice she now stays in my room with the door open or closed for hours and either sleeps or plays with her toys you have to leave the house though because the crying will get to you good luck |

| Maybe you coud let your DH do some of the things she enjoys the most. Maybe he could start giving her treats or feeding her or whatever she likes to do the most. Maybe she will realize that he's a good guy too. As far as the crying I agree, they need love and attention but also need to learn to be independent. Maybe work on leaving her alone for short periods of time, and try going to her only after she is quiet even if it's only for a few seconds then praise her alot then lenghten the time. You might have to see which works better as far as if it helps to be within sight of her or if she quiets down sooner if you are out of sight. Start with which one works best and then work towards the other. Hope this helps some. |
