Maybe you coud let your DH do some of the things she enjoys the most. Maybe he could start giving her treats or feeding her or whatever she likes to do the most. Maybe she will realize that he's a good guy too. As far as the crying I agree, they need love and attention but also need to learn to be independent. Maybe work on leaving her alone for short periods of time, and try going to her only after she is quiet even if it's only for a few seconds then praise her alot then lenghten the time. You might have to see which works better as far as if it helps to be within sight of her or if she quiets down sooner if you are out of sight. Start with which one works best and then work towards the other. Hope this helps some.
