| Callie update Callie had another episode today where it seemed as though she had low blood sugar and I gave her honey and called the vet. We went in and I told her that twice Callies gums have gotten whitish and she seemed to have no energy and she confirmed that it was not normal to have whitish gums and she did blood work and it showed absolutely nothing so she suggest watching closely and if it happens again to not give her the honey and rush her in so they can see whats going on. She seems ok for now think she is getting annoyed with me checking her gums every 10 minutes.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Ugh, how scary. Glad you're on top of it. I hope it's something they can diagnose and treat.

| Hmmmmm, that is the exact age Winston started having his episodes of hypoglycemia/seizures. He too was not tiny, not quite a teapot but still, he was in the 7 pound range and has now grown to be well over 8 pounds. If you ever figure out what exactly is going on with your girl, let me know, it may give me insight into Winston's problem, which we have been dealing with for over 3 years now.

| May I ask what you feed her? I know of several dogs who have had these same issues while on limited ingredient diets or allergy diets...because their ingredients are limited also. I have also heard Lamb can be too rich and can cause problems for some dogs. Also, try some Hagen Daz vanilla ice cream instead of the honey...it suspends the fats (I think the fats) in their system longer so they don't crash from a sugar drop from honey, Kayro syrup or Nutrical.
