| New to YorkieTalk.com Hi Everyone, I have recently joined YorkieTalk as I have been given a 6 month old yorkshire terrier girl who I have named Lulu, I have only had her for just over 3 weeks and she is coming on leaps and bounds. I have a 14 year old black and tan short hair Duchshund and a 5 year old miniture long hair duchshund, and introductions are going very well, my 14 year old (Robby) seems to have bonded with little Lulu and they are happy to sit together, where as my 5year old (Sophie) is very active and plays with all her toys, a bit nervous or so with Lulu, though she brings her ball to her to play with etc, slowly slowly we will eventually all be a big happy family. I keep Lulu apart from the other two whilst I am at work as its a bit much for her and she is so small. Anyway am pleased to have found you on the internet, I belong to a Duchshund forum in the UK and have made some great internet friends thorugh it and learnt about all these little things our dogs do. I would like to wish you all a happy holiday season Debbie |

I would suggest, given the fact that both your's and your neighbor's knowledge on breeding seem to be VERY minimal, give that they would be a litter of mixed dogs, and give that you've already stated that your Yorkie showed signs of LP (which is often inherited) that you do what is in the best interest of the DOGS and keep them separated instead of just "letting them go at it." The things that you have described, are what most people are warned to AVOID when looking for breeders. | |
