| Is it just me or... Is it just me or, do you all experance this... When you refer to your Yorkie as "Your Baby" some people look at you funny? I also refer to my dogs as "My boys" because they are my boys... My mom and I were out shoping one night and I left the boy with my dad... Well when my mom runs into someone that she knows when we are out and about, she can get kinda long winded. Well this was about the 4th or 5th person that she ran into. I was tired had my shopping done and I just HAD to say something to her, So I waited for a break in the conversation then said, "Ma don't you think we should head home, Dad has been with the boys most of the night." Then the lady she was talking to says... "Awe that is a great grandpa, baby sitting for your children while you go shopping." My mom smiled and said, "He is watching her dogs" Then the lady looked at me as if she was appaled by my calling animals "My boys" She then suddenly HAD to go someplace and left us. Mom and I said at the same time, "Well that was rude of her" I then said "Yea I don't think she approved of my calling my dogs my boys." My mom laughed and shrugged it off. I don't know why but that just buggs the stuffins out of me. My dogs are the closest I am ever going to get to having kids, who is she to judge what I call my critters UGH!! Some people!!

| Yeah I get an eye roll from time to time BUT I like my dogs more than I like most people and sometimes better than my skinkid! SO...I don't really give a flip what people think.

| I always refer to mine as "the girls". Now that I have a boy I am having a hard time with what to call them. I might call them "the babies". Anyone who knows me wouldn't dare complain to me about what I call them. They know I'm addicted and they accept it.

| Some people will never get it!! Somehow or another I started to refer to the pack so to speak as "the doodles". Individually they are "T", "The Princess", and "The Baby."

| I could care less about what people, who don't matter, think! People who really know me understand and are probably the same way, if they have a pet. My son is so used to it that he'll call and ask about his little "brother." (My son is 22).

I dont know, maybe its the look on my face saying dont mess with me? I just never come across anyone saying stupid remarks about lexi... Its just all good with me.. I know i would have a whole lot to say if someone did say something and it wouldnt be a pretty site. Some people can be so rude though.. You call your babies whatever you want... Frig em all

| I think calling your boys, "your boys" is normal. When I talk with anyone about my girls, I refer to them as "my daughters", and I don't give a hoot what anyone thinks! I'm having fun, and they are my "kids" and we treat them that way. I'm not going to apologize to anyone for whatever word/s I use to address my little girls. I wouldn't worry about what anyone thinks! I would just feel sorry for anyone who expresses distaste toward you, that they don't have the wonderful feeling that comes to having "fur-kids"!!

| I have 2 Girl children and 2 girl yorkies. When anyone in my family asks me how "the girls" are, they know they have to clarify between the humans and the dogs, otherwise they are likely to get an update on the wrong set of "girls".
