| Crying with treat?!?! If I give Maddie something that she doesn't get often (like a greenie or nutrident) after she is finished chewing she goes and hides it (she never finishes a greenie at once). Later in the day she comes out with the half chewed treat in her mouth whining and crying walking all over the place. I'm almost certain she is just trying to find a place to hide it, but it is so weird! It sometimes annoys me, but I just look at how cute she is when she is just roaming around with a big treat in her mouth. Anyone else's baby do this? She used to do this with her bully sticks until I just gave her constant access to them... |

| Maybe she knows she only gets it once in a while and is trying to hide them so that she can get to it later. But I'm sure there are PLENTY hiding places. Not sure why she would cry about it. |

| I've given Sophie a greenie on two different occasions and both times she wouldn't eat it or play with it, instead she buried them in the backyard and never dug them up again...I guess it's her way of telling me NO Greenies please.

| Jackson does this with special treats like that. He walks around with it in his mouth and whines looking for a place to bury it. Then he finds the nearest couch and starts "digging" and then "buries" the bone, lol. It's really funny.

| Keira and Kuma do this too! We've often sat on the couch to get find little surprises. Keira will wander around the house looking for just the right spot to hide her bone and if she catches you watching her, she is not impressed. I can almost hear her sigh with frustration for being busted haha |

| Déjà vu!! Brinks did that for months until I got so annoyed that I dumped his entire bag of dog treats on the floor in front of him lol. He looked at me like I was nuts but he never did it again. |

| Stella does this...we give her the dried sweet potato treats that have duck jerky wrapped around them and she LOVES them (these are the ones we give her)...but she only gets maybe one or two a week so when she does, if the bedroom door isn't open, she'll pace around with it in her mouth crying until I either let her in our bedroom or put her in her bed to eat it. So silly...she wants to be 100% comfortable when she's eating her favorite treat! But it definitely freaked me out the first time she did it...I thought she was hurt because I had never heard her cry before. They're such little babies! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Taffy does this with one of her mini carrots. She'll pace around the room whimpering looking for a place to hide it. (She's also done this with an ice cube only to return to it "gone" to the place where all good ice cubes eventually go. That's really comical because I think she thinks we've stolen it...LOL) What she usually does after searching and whimpering for a good hiding place is drop the carrot in the middle of the floor in plain sight. Then if we happen to say "I see your carrot" she lets out a breath of sheer disgust as though we didn't play the game she wanted...the game of pretending it isn't obviously in the middle of the floor! There are times when she will dig a "fake" hole, use her nose to push invisible dirt over it, and then strut off as proud of herself as can be (with the carrot still in plain sight). I'm not sure what fantasy game she's playing when she does that! Needless to say, we have found shriveled up little mini carrots in some strange places. |

| I've only had Camel for 6 months (my first dog...EVER) and the first time I gave her this one beef jerky type of thing, she cried when she had it in her mouth. I finally figured out she was looking for a place to hide it. She also did the move the invisible dirt with her nose thing. (it reminded me of Raymond's brother Robert on EVERYONE LOVES RAYMOND where he has to touch food to his chin before he can eat it). But, the worst part of this 'routine' is that she potties in the house when she has one of these things. That is the part I don't understand. |

| lexi does the same thing.. if its a treat that she usually does not get, she will walk around the house trying to find a hiding place crying and whimpering.
