| I have both a playpen and a crate for Tia. The crate is a small one and it is in my room by my bed, she sleeps in there at night. I use the playpen for if I have to leave the house for any amount of time since she isn't potty trained. I put her in there with food, a bed, a wee wee pad, one of my tee-shirts and a toy when I leave the house (to take my kids to school, etc since they won't allow dogs on the premises) -- it's been helpful for when I leave and I found one for $40 at Walmart

| For a playpen, we used to use one when Yoda was smaller. Just put a blanket, and some of his toys in there. When we did house chores and stuff he didn't like (like vacuuming), we just left him in there. He always wanted to get out at first, but usually just laid there or fell asleep after that. |

| I have a baby play yard that sits on the floor and you can make different sizes as there are 8 panels(I think). It is in my kitchen and her food & bed are in it. She stays in there for 'time out' and when we are gone, or she needs a break from chasing the cat or playing with Brandy the 103lb lab. On trips we take 4 panels so she has her spot in hotel rooms. |

| We went to WM and bought an actual human baby playpen for when we had Half-Pint (RIP) and we also used it for Schatzie. That is until we video taped Schatzie climbing out of it. Now that she's a big girl, we use her crate or gated off area when need be.

| Yes I used the one from walmart too it was like $40 bucks. I used it when they were young but now I used a metal gate... and I have this little area in my kitchen that I gate them off in and I use one of those carrier things I bought at petco. That was about $35 and the metal gate was like $50 on sale! Expensive little pups!

| Besides gracies crate, we use baby gates(wooden from walmart) , and I also found a 6 sided vinyl child mobile unit that can change from rectangle to circular. We plan to build something for her this summer. |

| I use a (walmart) play pen for the babies and they seem to love it, then run around for an hour to play and eat then back in for naps. I also use a baby gate to keep them in the room during play.

It is a bed and apparently you can purchase them at Walmart but have been unable to get one here in Ontario. Does anyone know what it is I'm talking about. |

| I have allways used a play pen We use the playpen for little Gracie as her bed. I picked up one at a thrift store for $5.00. I keep food and water, a pee pee pad and her bed in it for her. It is situated right by my bed and she knows that it is time to go to sleep whenever I put her in it. I even cover the top and sides with a blanket, leaving one side open so that she can see me and so that I can see her. I never have to worry that she will get into trouble while I am asleep and I can sleep soundly knowing that she is safe in her "big girl bed". |

| I used a playard for Mia when she was a puppy, she's never had a crate or anything just the playard and now that she's grown and trained she doesn't even need that anymore! The playard was AMAZING for potty training though, I didn't have to hardly do anything and Mia just learned because I put her in the playard every morning and every night, and she learned she was supposed to use the pad. Then I put a pad outside next to the Playard and she knew to go there to go potty! |

| We find that "whatever works"! Personally, we prefer an X-pen ... it's extremely portable and you can make it whatever size or shape your space requires. Since we travel we find it to be really easy to take along and we keep either a tarp or thick shower curtain with it and put that down first and then set the pen up on top of it. It protects from spills and "accidents" as well as keeps Toto off unfamiliar surfaces! You never know what's been on a hotel floor before you got there! The only time we lock the gate is if we aren't there to supervise her and we always know she is safe and comfortable with her bed, water/food, wee wee pad, toys, etc. right there for her. She is so small she has never tried to "escape" and she also uses it for her "safe" place if we have visitors that she doesn't want to interact with! If she is in there it's strictly "hands off"! Works for her ... works for us!

| I use to use the smaller playpen at walmart. didn't take uop as much room and was very nice. put potty pad inside and they we're ready. now i have a play yard for real babies. I put a tarp down and set it up food water and potty pad and we're all set. I use them in our motorhome or motel and in the yard. very nice. and i'm like someone else here never know what someone else has tracked in the area.
