| New Habit of a 9 year-old Yorkie For the past 3 nights, Bailey has started to bark at me at 4 or 5 in the morning. I get up, take her out and she pees. When she comes in, she'll then run into the bedroom and poop in front of my closet. I can't understand it. We used to sleep til 7 and I would take her for her poo walk around 8 in the morning. But this new behavior has me puzzled. Any suggestions? TIA |

| Is she eating at a different time, or a different food? I don't know, I hope it gets straightened out for you though!

| Shayna's been doing the same wake up game, 3am and 6am, pees out side and poops in a sneeky place if my eyes aren't open enough. When does the wake up at 6am stop? |

| Since this is a change in her normal behavior, and if you've not changed food recently, I would think maybe a visit to the vet to check for any type of bladder/kidney/intestinal infection.

Definitely worth a vet visit to confirm. You might be able to just drop off a fresh potty sample without a full vet visit. The urinalysis is pretty cheap. You'll want to do it soon because delaying treatment of a UTI/bladder/kidney/intestinal issue can cause more serious issues. Keep us posted! | |

| I did add something to her food (forgot all about it). She didn't want her kibbles plain so I added a little canned Paul Newman's Own. Its pouring rain here today so a long walk is out of the question for this little princess. If it lets up, I'll take her out for a decent walk later tonight. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll take her to the vet. Thanks. I'll let you know how it turns out. |

| I think my problem is solved. I didn't get any barks at an ungodly hour this morning. She gets a long poo walk around 6 in the evening and she goes out to pee around 11 at night. Hope folks keep in mind that any change in food may equal a change in potty habits. |
