| Yorkie or silky???? Roscoe was supposed to be a registered Yorkie, but I wonder if he is actually a silky terrier. I got him about 3 weeks ago from someone that was rehoming him and he is NKC registered. He weighs 9 1/2 pounds. What do you guys think???? I am having a horrible time uploading pictures, but you can see him in my avatar or in my album on my profile page. Thanks!

| Definately Yorkie. He has a yorkie face not a silky's face. They have a longer snoot (nose) and are cute but a yorkie has that distinct look. You just have yourself a larger yorkie. He's adorable, good luck with your big boy. |

| National Kennel Club is what the paper says. I do not know anything about breed registration, but that is what he gave me. I always have gotten my pets from the animal shelter. I guess NKC is probably not good since it seems most dogs are AKC huh?

and another ckc that stands for Continental Kennel Club and they pretty much register anything that akc resuses to register. There are other but being registered akc doesn't mean you are going to get a beauty, healthy etc. it's just your chances are better since it should assure you in most cases you are getting a pup or adult whose parents were both pure bred. There main job is keeping records and they do a pretty good job. I have never heard of the other registry but maybe someone else will know more. This is what I have found. National Kennel Club, Dog Registry
