Well there is a ckc that stands for Canadian Kennel Club and they are excellent
and another ckc that stands for Continental Kennel Club and they pretty much register anything that akc resuses to register.
There are other but being registered akc doesn't mean you are going to get a beauty, healthy etc. it's just your chances are better since it should assure you in most cases you are getting a pup or adult whose parents were both pure bred. There main job is keeping records and they do a pretty good job.
I have never heard of the other registry but maybe someone else will know more. This is what I have found.
