| Getting a Yorkie Interested in getting a Yorkie-as I do research I see so much conflicting information-rescue, breeder or pet store-any advice? thanks |

| I am sure I speak for everyone here when I say NO to purchasing pets from pet stores. I would make sure to choose a reputable breeder, like one from here on YT. That way you can get feedback from people who have already adopted from the breeder. A rescue is probably the kindest act of all, so many out there with no homes. It is a big decision, one that needs to be researched as thoroughly as possible. Best of luck. Let us know what you decide. Welcome to YT as well! | If you decide to go with a breeder check out YTCA, Yorkshire Terrier Club of America for breeders in your state. You should have no problems with any of the breeders listed on this site. |

| YTCA also helps you Distinguish between backyard breeders ,responsible breeders and puppy mills. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (Awards) GL in your search ....Yorkies are the best but then again we are all biased
