| Congratulations! I bet Sunday can't come soon enough. I'm sure things will work out great at home with a new fursibling around, just remember it might take some time but they will adjust.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Congratulations! I am sure you are thrilled. Do you have a pic yet? Can you take your dog to meet the new pup? Sometimes it's better to know right away if they won't get along. I think two standard suggestions to help dogs get along are to meet on neutral ground, and take them for a walk together before they go into your house.

| Is your other dog a yorkie? I have had dogs all my life, and we always bring the new ones home to their new home to meet for the first time and it has always worked out. Maybe with 2 big dogs it would be different, but, we even brought our german shepherd home as a pup and introduced her to the golden retriever(she was over a year at the time) and never a problem. I could probably see neutral grounds only if it were 2 adult dogs or if you had a mean dog already, which then I wouldn't even get another dog, or more like I would never have a mean dog period. Anyway, congrats on the new pup, I'm not too far from you, less than 2 hours. |

| No my current dog is not a yorkie. He is mixed with a chow and pom (I think). I got him from my neighbor when his dog had puppies. He is far from mean. He's the sweetest thing ever. I love him so much. He is around 10. I hope he likes our new added family member and would give him a best friend other than me of course |
