| blonde yorkies We are purchasing a female to add to our adorable male. However, the mother is a blonde yorkie? Is this bad? We are planning to breed them. The female we are purchasing has all the right colors for a 7 week old. Will she turn blonde? Will she have blonde puppies? Will that be bad? Please, can anyone help with this information. We just can't seem to find the answers. |

| I wanted to welcome you to YT. I will love to see pics of your yorkies. Personally I think that to breed the male and female should be the closes to the standard as possible and be very healthy with no genetic defects on their lines and have a good pedigree. Im not a breeder but we have great breeders here that can advise you in this matter better than me. Once again welcome. |

| Are you planning to breed for showing or for pets? I personally love the "blonde" coloring and I know a lot of people do. I would study the breed standard and decide which "faults" you can live with aethetically and which you cannot. There are a lot of breeders who breed healthy, well adjusted, yorkies with great temperaments but they don't stick to the strict sheo breed standard because their own tastes are different of the general public's taste is slightly different. A lot of pet fanciers for instance want a smaller dog in the 3 to 4 lb range or they want a dog with a shorter snout, some like floppy ears, some like an undocked tail, etc. All of these charaterisitics are outside the show breed standard and would be considered faults in a show ring. Good luck! |

What are your goals for breeding ? Because there is no such things as breeding for pets only . Breeding is a serious task . When I started breeding , I looked for the best that I could afford . Checked the parents and studied the pedigrees of all my Yorkies . There is always a possibility that she have blonde ones . As a breeder , I work very hard and I am interested to have puppies that will be better than their parents . I am extremely proud when I see one of my pups as adults and I can say " Wow , he or she looks better than the mother or the father " . It proves me that I am in the good way to betterment of the breed . | |
