Are you planning to breed for showing or for pets? I personally love the "blonde" coloring and I know a lot of people do. I would study the breed standard and decide which "faults" you can live with aethetically and which you cannot. There are a lot of breeders who breed healthy, well adjusted, yorkies with great temperaments but they don't stick to the strict sheo breed standard because their own tastes are different of the general public's taste is slightly different.
A lot of pet fanciers for instance want a smaller dog in the 3 to 4 lb range or they want a dog with a shorter snout, some like floppy ears, some like an undocked tail, etc. All of these charaterisitics are outside the show breed standard and would be considered faults in a show ring.
Good luck! |
