| Do any of your babies try to MANIPULATE you?! Pixel just started a new thing. He FAKE pees!!! LOL He's been doing so well with potty training!! BUT now that he has figured out that when he goes potty on his pad he gets a treat, he has started PRETENDING to go!!! hahhaa what a little stinker! (pun intended ) We were in the kitchen last night and he looked at me and ran over and squatted on the pad (which I found odd since he had just gone a few minutes earlier) for a HALF A SECOND and then ran straight to the fridge wagging his tail wanting a treat!! He did the same thing this morning. I must admit though, I thought it was pretty clever!! Crazy dog! LOL |

| Bently does this all the time. When we were training him to go to the patio door and lets us know he needed to go outside I would always give him a treat when he came back in. Now he goes to the door, crys and I let him out. He immediately wants back in, or sometimes doesn't even go out, then he wants a treat. Scam artist that's what they are...... Scamming us all the time for treats. But I love them all just the same... John |

| My Trixie is a stinker also. All 3 go out in the backyard, when it's time to come in Coco and Pebbles come right in. Trixie will come close to the door but won't come in until I say "do you want a cookie?" Then she runs in, goes straight into the kitchen and just sits by the cookie jar. Fresh girl !!

| One of my dogs is more house trained than the other but they both go to the back door to be let out to do their business. they have learned though that when we are too busy to play they will go to the back door and stand. we of course notice this and will stop what we are doing to let them out and then they will run to their toy box to get one and bring it back to you as if to say, "what I really wanted you to do is stop ingnoring me, here is my toy now pay attention to me because I am more important than whatever silly business you were doing over there" it can be annoying but then I never want to take the chance of them peeing in the house either and I haven't determined when they are playing me.

♥ Mama's Boy ♥ Donating Member | Tobie like to manipulate me in making me feel sorry for him when I leave and he has to go in his crate. Every time I get ready to leave he runs into my bedroom puts his ears down and rolls on to his back and give me the saddest face like "don't leave me mommy" but as soon as I leave he is fine and falls asleep. He has started to do this when I take a shower too, he use to go into the bathroom when I was taking a shower but now he just looks at me like " I know you are gonna get dressed and leave me so I am not moving!". It never fails, he always makes me feel so bad for leaving him. |

| Yup .... my Zach does the samething I hate to admit it bt I've been bribeing them too If they poop or pee on command they get a treat usually they do great but over the last week My Zach will squat down when I tell him to go but there will be no pee What we're doing is associateing the movement or position with the treat They are smarter than we know

| Clarence, the crumudgeon, does not toy with us...he demands & we do. Keegan, on the other hand, is our manipulator! If he wants me to get off the computer, he either barks at me or goes in the other room & barks like he has to go out, when I get there, he looks at me & jumps up on the couch, as if to say come on mommy, you need a break. If he wants a cookie, he'll boof at me until I follow him & he takes me to the cookie jar. If I don't give him one he'll start going thru all of this tricks until one works. That kid cracks me up! |

| Soooo funny and cute Nicky does the fake pee for treats and Nini lays the guilt trip on me, thick, too! But since I hardly ever leave them alone, the guilt trip Nini uses is for undivided attention The funniest thing, though, is the fake tricks they play on each other! One is when Nicky will ring the bells to let me know he wants out, he runs outside and barks as if someone were there. Knowing that Nini will go out to investigate, he waits for her to come out, then he runs back inside and steals her treat Some times he gets punished by her for being a sneaky little thief (I have to keep watch). Nini's catching on and brings her treat with her. But, this trick worked for Nicky, beautifully, many times before, so he keeps trying . I just can't help but laugh out loud and call their daddy to let him know what his babies are up to |

| Missy fake pees too. She'll squeeze out the teeniest drop on purpose, then stand all proud lookin' at me like, "Hey Mom..did you see that? Huh? Huh?...see what I did there? Where's my treat?". They are too darn cute

| Lol so funny to hear everyone's stories. They are just the smartest aren't they? Pao brings me to his treat jar and demands a treat when he feels like he deserves one lol. He also make me follow him every morning to my wardrobe and touch my jogging pants indicating that it is time for me to change in to it and bring him out!
