| Oye! The reason I don't keep Smokey in long hair! I had a little bit of time before I went to work and decided to brush the boys. I brushed Smokey, which used to be a chore, but now he's so good. I LOVE his hair. It's so straight and silver to the point where it's almost white in some places. It's so silky smooth and he looks absolutely beautiful when it's brushed. He would look gorgeous with a long-ish coat BUT the little punk... I turned around a little bit so I could brush Chip and then I notice Smokey is rolling around and rubbing his face on the bed, messing up his beautiful hair not even 10 seconds after I finish it! If he had long hair, he would be one giant knot ball. Silly boy!!

| hehe I agree!! and I am sure that peanut will too!! I had his hair the longest I have ever had it ( and it wasnt even that long) and it would get all tangled in his harness and everything....I think its a boy thing! I keep his face long and just shave his body like 1 inch in length and it works well!! I still brush his face about once everyday, but he is low maintance

| When we first brought Smokey home he had long hair and it was his puppy hair. OMG it matted soooooooooo bad. I'm not even kidding, the second we got him home from getting groomed, he was in a terrible knot. He wouldn't even let us brush him because it was that bad. Our groomer finally suggested that she cut him down not to shave him, but just cut that baby hair off so I agreed. His hair is beautiful now (about an inch or two long) and I thought about letting it grow out some more, but I think he will mat it. His hair is great right now because I don't even brush him unless I feel like it and his hair still looks great.

| I've always had Bailey in a puppy cut - love it. I don't brush her at all!

| I keep Patsy in a "modified" puppy cut. It's a little bit longer than a puppy cut, and she seems to do well with it. Most of the time there are no tangles or knots, except when she wears clothes for a while. Although, this morning she had a big knot on her, she told me that Baby Bonnie did it. Probably....

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have been growing my boys hair out for the last year now. I love his hair long. But after I comb him he will also shake and run all over the room. I am lucky he really does not mat, the only thing I have to worry about is a little pee in his hair..hehe. |
