| I think they like to have a companion. I have 1 male and would like to get another, but I worry about the additional expenses in this dismal economy.

| I have an 8 month old male and we got another male 3 weeks ago, so far it has been a good and bad experience. The puppy, Harley, is so dominant that I feel really bad for Samson. Harley needs a lot of redirection, he is very cute though and I know we have to get over this puppy stage. I believe in the end this will be good for both my little boys.

| I have 2 that I got as pups so they have grown up together. I think it is good to have 2 to keep each other company. I will always have 2. My breeder said they do better in pairs and mine seem to

| I have two males that are 11 months apart. I waited until my first was potty trained before I got the second. Snickers (the older one) immediately established his dominance over Baxter, and Baxter accepted it as a puppy. It took about two weeks for them to relax with each other, but after that it was (and still is) great. They are best buddies and brothers, and play and rough-house around constantly. I think having two (or more!) is the best!

| Welcome to YT! I have always had animals in pairs - there are so many reasons why. They just really flourish together.

| I have a 7 mos old male and I am considering the same thing myself. I would imagine SpiceE would eventually love the company, if not right away.

| I have my original back that I gave to my daughter and my new one. They are a year apart. The blending part is going well, but I'm having scheduling issues, as the baby still needs breakfast and the bigger one shouldn't be eating twice. So I put the other one out of the room, then the baby still refuses to eat, as though she needs permission and misses the other one...different potty times and stuff. Keeps me hopping.

| Thank you everyone for your advice. I believe I will get him a companion. I want to adopt a pup around his age (8 mos) but they are hard to find .... so I guess I'll have to get an 8wk pup from the same breeder.... Thanks again!! |

| Having two has been great! Franklin and Maggie really seem to thrive with the companionship. They sleep together and play together. I can't imagine life ever again without two dogs. I must say, while it's not much more hassle.. it IS a LOT more expense.
