| Does anyone have info on ACA? American Canine Association.......a local breeder has a little (7 lb.) 5 month old female had wants to get rid of because she's not AKC like his other dogs. He bought her from a girl he felt sorry for, desperate need for money, and thinks little Isabel was a puppy mill baby. I would love to have her, but hubby may move out if I bring another one home. |

| Yes, ACA does not have the same reputation as the AKC. However, I actually called them myself (ACA) and asked some questions. They said the dogs must be full breed to be ACA'd. They go back at least 4 generations to ensure the dogs are really full breed. That is what I was told at least. Stomper is ACA'd not AKC'd.

Any other American registry simply uses AKC records and keeps them in a database and prints the papers. You and I could do the same thing if we had a computer program. Since the AKC actually inspects kennels for conditions, most puppy mills who still offer papers use non-AKC registries. This little pup could certainly be from a puppy mill. So, her registry could be better, but she's still all Yorkie and of course deserves a loving home. Maybe you could list her here on the website under Yorkies Wanted/For Sale and help find her a home if you're seriously worried about a divorce. CJ | |

| Well, maybe I stretched it a litte, I'm not really worried about a divorce , but really, when you get more than 2 babies, where do you keep them? I mean do you devote a room to them (enclose carport ), and how about sleeping..my oldest, JPop sleeps with us and Taz, 14 wks, is still in his crate. How do you do it?? |

| Pita is registered ACA and I had some trouble getting her papers cuz I registered online and apparently they are still getting their website going, the phone number they list on the site is always busy. Needless to say I was getting frustrated so I was looking them up on the Better Business Bureau site and found a different number and finally got thro to them. Once I did that I got her papers with no problems. Their website address is Acavet.com The only thing that makes me a little suspicious is that when you do a breeder search they will lead you to Petland stores. So do some research... |

| I have five dogs, 3 are yorkies. My baby yorkie still sleeps in a palypen for most of the night and the other two sleep with me. The standard poodle and the westie sleep with my youngest daughter. We have the familyroom gated and it is a tile floor and there is a courtyard that they can go out in to go potty during the day. I love having three! |

| Neither of my babies are AKC registered, and seeing as I got one for free, and one for only $100 I am not the least bit disapointed. Unless I was going to breed them registration doesn't mean a whole lot to me. |
