| bugs me/venting Why do people asume that your yorkie is fat when you say I have a bigger yorkie! I went into a petstore without Callie the other day and I was trying to pick something out for her and my grandmother goes can we bring this back if it doesnt fit and the lady goes yeah what kind of dog do you have and I said a bigger yorkie about 13 pounds and she goes oh I've seen some of those fat yorkies before! It drove me crazy I brought Callie in the next day and made sure she saw us! Callie is in no way fat not that I wouldnt love her if she was its just some people think if there not under certain weight that they are fat! It just really bugs me!

| Awww, welcome to the world of the teapot yorkie. Many of us have heard them all...a lot people are just tactless and rude when it comes to these babies. Don't feel you have to prove anything. After I quit feeling compelled to PROVE that Ginger and Bernie are healthy yorkies it quit bothering me...Really, you love your baby, who cares what someone else thinks???

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I feel your pain. Baxter is 13 lbs too. I get "is he a Yorkie?", or they distinguish between Cooper and Baxter as skinny/fat. My husband gets mad over this, too. My neighbor especially loves to say it. Finally he told her he was going to call her over the next time Baxter was getting a bath so she could see he is NOT fat, in fact he is very small for his frame once you look at him wet!!! |

| I've got a yorkie in between 13 and 14 lbs, and she's chunky, but, I love her anyway..the thing is, I was told she would be about 4 lbs full grown..People need to know, these dogs were originally bigger than 13 lbs..some people are just idiots.. |

| I am sorry people act that way. I was at my granddaughter's school one day, and I had someone say to me as I was holding Rocky, "Oh he's a little fatty, huh"? I just laughed at her and said WHAT????? I walked away. People are just so rude. Rocky is 6 years old, and he weighs 6 pounds. I guess because he wasn't as small as hers, she thought he was fat. I would just like to know what is going on in some of these people's brains. No mine are not 2 or 3 pounds, but they are my babies, and I love them no matter what they weigh. People can just be so rude. I also get it because Rocky's ears never went up. He was my first Yorkie, so I didn't know about having them taped, or trimming the hair on the ears, etc. But he is soooo cute! Enough of my venting. |

| Callies ears didnt go up either they are floppy and I guess that kinda throws people off too when they see her. But honestly I would never change anything about my baby I love that shes bigger and has floppy ears. It just bugs me because its the same with humans they sterotype certain people as a certain way because of there weigh, color, gender and stuff.

| It seems that there are always horrible people with negative things to say - if you have a tiny yorkie they get called 'rats', and if they're larger is; 'ooh, thats a BIG yorkie'.......If anyone ever says anything nasty about Twinkle I shall say; 'well I've got a yorkie and you haven't' and walk away (trying to resist the urge to stick my tongue out) xxx xxx

| I have two big yorks (8 and 14 lbs) and I always get asked "Why are they so big?" "They aren't teacups?" They also always ask if Smokey is older because he's bigger and he's not.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Remember that Destiny's Child song "Bootylicious"? I tell Baxter he is "Yorkie-licious" that he is just too much Yorkie for some people! Yeah, we are crazy around here! Here is a picture of my plus-sized posse--Baxter is the one laying down! |
