| I now know what everybody is mad at concerning breeding!!! I now understand where all the breeders who get upset about DUMB PEOPLE breeding yorkies...OH yes I said DUMB!!! Yesterday going home from work I saw a woman outside sweeping her yard and with her were six extra tiny yorkies all looked under 4 pounds. One of her girls she told me was only 3 pounds like my Sabrina and she was going on her FOURTH LITTER!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! I was shocked, I asked her why would she breed her she is too little, and she looked me right in the face and said NO SHE IS NOT TO LITTLE, SHE IS LOOKING FOR AN EVEN SMALLER ONE TO BREED!!! I damn near lost it on the lady, "ARE YOU CRAZY, YOU WANT A SMALLER ONE TO BREED, DO YOU KNOW THEY COULD DIE, THEY ARE WAY TO SMALL TO BREED, DO YOU HAVE A VET??? WHAT DOES HE SAY ABOUT YOU BREEDING HER??" she told me she has a GOOD VET! YEAH RIGHT!!! That he told her it was okay to breed the dogs. I told her I had a 3 pounder who accidentally got pregnant and she needed a c-section I asked the lady what would she do if her dog needed a c-section and she said to me I was crazy for paying $3500 for Sabrina's c-section she said she would just have to let the dog die, I wanted to punch her in the face. Now I understand what everybody gets so upset about, I asked this lady if she got her dogs tested for genetic defects and for disease they could pass to one another being bred and she said NO! Get this...one of the dogs is missing an eye!!! said he was born like that so she kept him but she is BREEDING HIM!!! To bad there isn't a chapter of the ASPCA in CT because I swear I would of called on her. SO HEADS UP, I GAVE HER THE WEBSITE ADDRESS TO YORKIETALK, SHE WILL BE ON HERE SOON, AND SHE IS LOOKING FOR A SMALLER DOG!!! PM ME AND I WILL GIVE YOU HER NAME. |

| That sounds a lot like the lady who lives down the road from me. Honestly, I didn't know what it takes to be a good breeder until the past year. I was brought up that any dog is ok to breed . Now, I get so mad when I see people who don't know what the heck they're doing being breeders. I'm always amazed that some really nice YT members breed just because they can. You would think being on YT would make you smarter and know better but they still do it. Heck, there was an accidental breeding last year on here and now I see again that the dog is going to have puppies. But when they already had females then got a male I knew that was the point anyway. Someone else was collecting girls then got a male, low and behold that's now their breeding program Just because your dog is cute doesn't mean you have to breed it!!!!!! Is it as bad as the lady you saw? Maybe not in everyones eyes but to mine it is. There are enough good breeders out there and the pet population is booming. I want to scream "if you weren't a breeder two years ago then what the h*ll are you doing thinking you can be one now?" End of Rant

| Yep...situtation like that are certainly enough to get your blood boiling! I can't blame you for saying something to her...I wouldn't have been able to contain my thoughts either, even though you KNOW she knows better and has been told that before. Hmm...wonder if she'll join here She'd love it--I'm sure she'd get lots of support and people defending her because heaven forbid anyone tell her the truth and risk being "rude." |

| Wow. Thats horrible. I have had a few people that I know ask me if I would breed my girl with their dog when shes older. I said no way. I dont know the first thing about breeding and Im not risking my baby's life. Plus she is getting fixed because my male dachshund is intact and im not raising no dorkies!

| When I look at my healthy happy pups running all over the house, it just breaks my heart knowing that there are such heartless people out there ...... The pain of losing a beloved is unbearable and to just allow one to die in childbirth is unspeakable! It is so very sad that people breed these tiny dogs, EVEN when they are aware of the dangers. Maybe just maybe if she joins we can teach her and change her mind. It would be a good thing to give it a shot, for the sake of her dogs to make an attempt to educate her BEFORE flaming her. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Money isn't everything My concern is if they're such "good breeders" and they care so much about the breed, why can't they charge the "normal" amount for these poor dogs. Why is it people think smaller is better. My girlfriend told me she has a friend who furbabie lost it's step and broke both front legs tripping over a phone cord!!! That's not a healthy dog that's a piece of china. You're going to tell me that these people haven't run into problem like post number #1 ,that her poor girl had to have a c-section,and that had to be expensive, I'd like to see any decent vet, not rip her a new one for doing this to her babies.I could picture this monster telling the vet "forget that, I'll lose the money fixing her ,that I made selling her" I got Aiden from a deplorable house, smelly (both by human and animals) it was over run by animals. I didn't care if he was defected in any way ,I was not leaving him there, and I have since turned her in. Just because she has a piece of paper, does'nt mean S@#$#@. Her and her husband live like pigs, and if they choose to do it,do it without animals who depend on you to survive. They are also..god forbid owners of a hughe apartment complex, that I'm sure if investigated would be condemed. ALL FOR THE MONEY!!!! We live in the USA..this should not be happening to skin children or fur- babies!!! I'm so mad!!!
